Full job description

Phillips Bros Excavating, a family owned and operated company, has been proudly serving the construction industry for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a Class 1 Float Driver who would be responsible for safely operating a commerical truck and trailer to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport heavy equipment to and from job sites
Load, secure, and unload equipment properly
Complete pre-trip inspections and daily log requirements
Ensure equipment is moved in compliance with safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the truck and trailer
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and other drivers.

Requirements:

Class 1 commerical driver's license in good standing
Experience in hauling heavy equipment
Must have understanding of construction site protocols, rules and code of conduct
Ability to lift and secure loads as required
Knowledge of truck maintenance and inspection procedures
Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of truck and trailers
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors and other drivers
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
Experience in civil construction would be considered an asset.
