Lead HVAC Installer (Residential & Light Commercial)

We're looking for a motivated Lead HVAC Installer who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working directly with customers, and is ready to take ownership of residential installation projects while helping mentor the next generation of technicians.

This position is ideal for a 2nd-4th Year Refrigeration or Sheet Metal Apprentice looking to step into a leadership role, or a Journeyman Refrigeration or Sheet Metal Technician seeking a company where your skills are recognized and rewarded.

This position is primarily focused on residential HVAC installations, with occasional light commercial installation projects. When installation schedules are lighter, you'll also perform preventative maintenance and service work, giving you a well-rounded role with variety throughout the year.

Compensation

$33.00 - $55.00 per hour

Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall skillset.

What You'll Do

Lead residential installations of:
Furnaces
Air Conditioners
Heat Pumps
Mini-Split Systems
Water Heaters
Complete occasional light commercial HVAC installations and equipment replacements.
Ensure all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
Lead and mentor apprentices and junior technicians on job sites.
Perform system start-up, commissioning, and quality control inspections.
Perform preventative maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC systems when required.
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally with homeowners and business owners.
Complete digital work orders and documentation accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and job site.

QualificationsRequired

2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyman in:
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
Sheet Metal
Residential HVAC installation experience.
Experience installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and mini-split systems.
Willingness and ability to perform maintenance and service work as business needs require.
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while leading an apprentice or helper.
Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Assets

Residential HVAC service experience.
Preventative maintenance experience.
Light commercial HVAC experience.
Experience with inverter heat pumps and ductless systems.
Gas A or Gas B Ticket.
Experience using Housecall Pro or similar field management software.
