As the Senior Systems Developer, you will be a key member of an integral Salesforce Development and Support team, focused on providing deep Salesforce CRM expertise and senior engineering guidance to the team. You will be responsible for developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing, and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will contribute to a range of moderately to highly complex and diverse team initiatives with the support of your team members.

- Provide tech leadership to an agile delivery squad, and act as Development Lead coaching and mentoring other developers and technical analysts
- Salesforce platform development to implement functionalities and features of medium to high complexity.
- Performing unit testing for developed code, supporting system and user acceptance testing, and resolving defects by troubleshooting root causes.
- Be responsible for the detailed technical and functional design in Salesforce to fulfill current and future business requirements.
- Collaborate with the Lead Architect – RSS Advisor Platform Technology, Solution Designers, Product Managers and other technology teams to identify optimal approaches to integrate Salesforce with other applications in the eco-system.
- Collaborate with technology partners in developing Salesforce work effort and detailed work plans.
- Collaborate with DevOps partners to develop the necessary CI/CD tools, capabilities, and processes to help the entire development team to adopt DevOps as a “way of working”.
- Fostering productive relationships with IT business partners and communicating analysis and results accordingly.
- Leading the process of developing a cohesive plan to determine technologies and options for a working solution.
- Identifying and recommending solutions for application defects, determining root causes and minimizing the introduction of new defects.
- You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in developing and implementing Salesforce CRM or Financial Services Cloud.
- You have a University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- You are Salesforce Certified in: Platform App Builder and Platform Developer I and/or II. Application Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect and Consultant Certifications are considered an asset.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud would be considered an asset.
- You come with Industry experience in Financial Services, Technology, and/or Consulting.
- You have working knowledge and experience in working on progressively complex technical environments, including experience in technical design, application architecture, or related field.
- You have expertise in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud development and design and/or Sales Cloud and Services Cloud, common integration pattern, security and performance focused design and development patterns.
- You have working knowledge of leading DevOps tools and processes specifically catered to Salesforce.
- You have working knowledge of assisted/advisor distribution channel business model in the Financial Services Industry that are regulated (e.g., Insurance and Banking).
- You have working knowledge in supporting transformation initiatives involving complex integrations with Salesforce and a heterogeneous set of technology stacks.
- You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.
- You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.
- You have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view.
- You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.

Expected salary range $72,847 - $121,411
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
