CGI is seeking a Lead Control-M Administrator to take ownership of our enterprise workload automation practice. This role involves running and evolving our shared services Control-M platform, executing critical project work, and serving as the definitive technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).
You will lead automation initiatives in diverse on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, integrate complex business processes, and play a pivotal role in overseeing and mentoring junior team members to build a robust automation team.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Practice Leadership and Shared Services
Own and drive the enterprise workload automation practice and roadmap.
Run and manage the shared services Control-M platform, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
Oversee, mentor, and coach junior team members, fostering technical skill development and best practices.
Project Delivery and Evolution
Lead project work related to platform migration, modernization, and large-scale deployments.
Design and architect scheduling solutions for new enterprise applications and cloud migrations.
Manage the platform lifecycle, including strategic versioning and enterprise upgrades.
Administration and Advanced Integration
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Control-M components (Server, EM, Agents).
Leverage the Control-M Automation API to integrate with DevOps toolchains and CI/CD pipelines.
Design, implement, and manage advanced integrations and Managed File Transfer (MFT) workflows.
Integrate Control-M natively with cloud services across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Operations and Support
Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex technical incidents.
Ensure the stability, performance, and resilience of critical automated processes.
Develop and maintain clear operational documentation, guidelines, and standards for the team.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Essential Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Control-M Administrator and SME (Server, EM, Agents).
Strong proficiency with Control-M Automation API and complex API integrations.
Extensive experience designing and managing Managed File Transfer (MFT) workflows.
Proven experience administering workloads in major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
Strong background in CI/CD concepts, automation scripting, and DevOps integrations.

Relevant BMC / Control-M certifications.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000–$110,000. This role is an existing vacancy
