The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Nurse Practitioner’s (NP) to join our dynamic team. This is a unique role that combines traditional family practice with an exciting opportunity to help launch and deliver our new medical aesthetics offerings. We are looking for a passionate primary care provider who is also interested in the art and science of cosmetic medicine.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Family Medicine:

Perform comprehensive health assessments, including diagnosing health conditions and developing treatment plans.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Prescribe medications and therapies.
Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using our AVA Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

Medical Aesthetics:

Conduct patient consultations for aesthetic procedures.
Develop and perform non-invasive cosmetic treatments (e.g., neuromodulator injections, dermal fillers, skin rejuvenation).
Provide pre- and post-treatment care and education.
Help develop and grow the aesthetic services offered at the clinic.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing - Nurse Practitioner stream.
Current licensure and in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) as a licensed Nurse Practitioner.
New graduates who hold a provisional CRNA license or are eligible to write their NP exam are strongly encouraged to apply. Full licensure will be required prior to the employment start date.
Out-of-province applicants currently licensed as an NP in another Canadian jurisdiction and eligible for licensure transfer with the CRNA are welcome to apply. Full licensure will be required prior to the employment start date.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a primary care or family practice setting.
Certification or a strong, demonstrated interest in medical aesthetics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
