Full job description

Accounting Technician (Suite en français)

(approximately 25 hours/week)

Our company has been established in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu for 14 years and has been in business in Quebec for 98 years, selling measuring instruments and controls. Our products stand out for their reliability and adaptability while offering superior quality. Our company has a well-established reputation and we sell to multiple industries and customer types.

To continue our growth, we are constantly seeking motivated talent who want to contribute to our growth projects.

Reporting to the Owner, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to accounting operations, as well as preparing financial statements and certain documents required for the audit process.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Completing the full accounting cycle

- Entering routine transactions into Acomba software

- Performing bank reconciliations

- Preparing month-end and year-end journal entries

- Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements

- Preparing payroll

- Generating statutory reports (GST/QST/DAS)

- Maintaining the books, including recording purchase, sales, payroll, and bank entries

- Processing supplier payments

- Monitoring customer accounts and collecting outstanding invoices

- Performing all other related tasks.

Desired Profile:

- Hold a DEC or AEC or equivalent in accounting

- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience

- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French and English

- Proficiency in Acomba software and Microsoft Office

- Professionalism

- Good time management and prioritization skills

- Autonomy and strong organizational skills

- Meticulousness and resourcefulness

- Ability to concentrate, be patient, work in a team, communicate effectively, be rigorous, exercise sound judgment, and be diplomatic.

- Traiter les paiements aux fournisseurs

- Suivre les comptes clients et recouvrer les factures impayées

- Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes.

Profil recherché :

- Détenir un DEC ou un AEC ou l'équivalent en comptabilité

- Minimum de 3 ans d'expérience en tenue de livres

- Excellente maîtrise du français et de l'anglais, à l'oral comme à l'écrit

- Maîtrise des logiciels Acomba et Microsoft Office

- Professionnalisme

- Bonnes aptitudes en gestion du temps et en priorisation des tâches

- Autonomie et sens aigu de l'organisation

- Rigueur et débrouillardise

- Capacité de concentration, patience, esprit d'équipe, communication efficace, rigueur, jugement sûr et diplomatie
