Full job description

Silver Fox Pharmacy is a Long Term Care (LTC) and Retirement Home (RH) pharmacy serving residents across Ontario. We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Designated Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations and support our growing LTC and RH services. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities Include:

Act as the Designated Manager in accordance with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and requirements
Ensure full compliance with all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy
Oversee daily pharmacy operations, workflow, and staffing to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient medication dispensing
Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and administrative staff to maintain high-quality patient care
Ensure prescriptions are reviewed for therapeutic appropriateness and accuracy, addressing concerns with prescribers as needed
Support LTC and RH clinical services, including BPMH preparation and collaboration with nurses and physicians
Maintain accurate, organized, and complete resident health records with appropriate documentation
Implement, monitor, and continuously improve pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for pharmacy staff
Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews as required
Promote a positive team culture with strong communication and accountability
Remain current with continuing education, professional standards, and licensing requirements

Qualifications / Experience:

Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Previous management or supervisory experience preferred (LTC/RH pharmacy experience considered a strong asset)
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to build effective working relationships with healthcare partners
Knowledge of Kroll Windows and experience with eMAR systems preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
