Responsibilities
- SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Platform architecture, administration, and operational health of SAP Commerce Cloud environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD).
- Design and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient commerce environments.
- Lead production support efforts, including Sev‑1/Sev‑2 incident response, root cause analysis, and post‑incident remediation.
- Perform advanced JVM performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive system optimization.
- Govern platform standards, operational best practices, and runbook documentation.
- Lead SAP Commerce Cloud upgrades, migrations, and cloud transitions with minimal downtime.
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and release governance.
- Design and execute blue‑green or zero‑downtime deployment patterns.
- Coordinate releases across application, infrastructure, and CDN layers.
- Ensure proper change management and validation for all production changes.
- Architect and own the Akamai CDN strategy to optimize performance, reliability, and global traffic delivery.
- Design and manage Akamai Property Manager configurations and rule sets.
- Implement and optimize caching strategies, traffic routing, and edge logic for dynamic commerce workloads.
- Lead CDN preparations for high‑traffic events (seasonal sales, promotions, peak campaigns).
- Own Akamai security services including Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS mitigation
- Bot management and API protection, real‑time incident mitigation during security events.
- Ensure secure configuration of SAP Commerce Cloud environments, integrations, and certificates.
- Support compliance initiatives (e.g., PCI‑DSS, SOC2) and participate in security audits.
- Monitoring, Observability & Continuous Improvement
- Design and maintain observability across application, infrastructure, and CDN layers.
- Utilize monitoring and analytics tools to detect performance issues and anomalies proactively.
- Integrate Akamai log delivery with enterprise SIEM platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement based on performance data and incident trends.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for commerce infrastructure issues.
- Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and contribute to team skill development.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders during incidents and platform changes.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical roadmap planning.
- Responsible for working in conjunction with other IT, application development, and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the application perspective.
- Ensure compliance on change management process as needed through testing, development, or deployment tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences
- 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise‑scale eCommerce or web platforms
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) in production
- Experience with Akamai security services Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS mitigation and Bot management and API protection is a must
- Akamai CDN/Web & Data Center Security. Monitoring Web activity is a must.
- Jenkins Installation, build, deployment, and monitoring are musts.
- Experience with Web servers (IIS, Apache, and Tomcat) is a must.
- Experience in Linux and Windows operating systems is a must
- Strong expertise in Akamai CDN, including Ion/DSA, caching, and edge rules
- Advanced Linux/Unix administration skills is a must
- Strong understanding of JVM behavior, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Experiencing designing and supporting high‑availability, high‑traffic platforms
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release automation
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
- Strong troubleshooting and scripting skills (Bash or similar)
- Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace (or Splunk, or ELK) is a must
- Working knowledge of containerization and cloud concepts (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience handling real‑time incident mitigation during security events and secure configuration of SAP Commerce Cloud environments, integrations, and certificates.
- Monitor and Support compliance initiatives (e.g., PCI‑DSS, SOC2) and participate in security audits.
- Design and maintain observability across application, infrastructure, and CDN layers.
- Utilize monitoring and analytics tools to detect performance issues and anomalies proactively.
- Experience in SAP Hybris tools and technologies like Solr, Impex, and backend jobs.
- The APM tool AppDynamics/Dynatrace would be an asset.
- Experience in GitLab or GitHub DevOps technologies, including CI/CD pipelines and artifacts.
- Working experience with load balance tools like NetScaler would be an asset.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Skills in scripting and automating repetitive administrative tasks would be an asset.
- Must be self-motivated and proactive.
- Must be willing to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
- Must be “team” oriented. Ability to adopt new technologies as needed
