Production Support Lead – Floral Warehouse
Location: Richmond, BC
Salary: $18.50–$19.00/hr
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- $18.50–$19.00 per hour
- Paid break: 9:00–9:15 AM | Unpaid lunch: 12:00–12:30 PM
- 4% vacation pay paid weekly
- Full-time, temporary (potential for extension based on performance)
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Support Lead to join our floral production facility in Richmond, BC. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will bridge daily floor operations with administrative data tracking, ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
No floral experience required. If you have production or warehouse leadership experience and strong attention to detail, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Do
Production Setup & Floor Support
- Prepare and organize raw materials and floral components before production begins
- Stage packaging, hardgoods, and non-floral components for daily builds
- Supervise cardboard inventory, assembly, and recycling workflows
- Support the floor team to resolve bottlenecks and keep production lines running
Data, Labeling & Inventory
- Print production labels, case weight labels, and UPC barcodes
- Scan production labels to dynamically update inventory systems
- Identify and formally report material substitutions due to quality or stock issues
Planning, Metrics & Reporting
- Review the daily production plan each morning
- Track and log labor hours against production output
- Generate daily KPI reports and monitor budget variances
- Track and report on expired product, shrink, and waste
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Serve as the floor's Health & Safety representative
- Participate in daily Kaizen continuous improvement meetings
- Ensure recipe compliance and document any authorized adjustments
- Oversee quality assurance for high-volume retail orders (Costco)
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
- Leadership or team coordination experience (lead hand, supervisor, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail, especially around safety and quality standards
- Comfortable with data entry, reporting, and digital inventory systems
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities
- Bilingual English/Spanish is an asset
