Must be a JOURNEYMAN and have experience with off road equipment (ie. dozers, excavators, graders, rock trucks, side booms etc.)

Jaybe Mechanical has earned and maintained a reputation for service that is second to none and we are looking to grow our team with this in mind.

Multiple shifts available for the right candidates, including home & away work. Ideal candidate:

- Available to work away for 2 weeks at a time (12 hour days, flights & modern accommodation provided, plus sub - no camp work or night shift), with shift rotations including a mix of away & local work to provide a work/life balance.

- 2 week on/2 week off employment for away work.

Job Duties include:

Keep equipment clean, lubricated, and maintained
Diagnose faults and malfunctions
Troubleshoot and communicate equipment performance with mechanics
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufactures specifications and legislated regulations
Write service reports in a timely and efficient manner
Train and/or assist other technicians or apprentices
Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

MUST BE A TICKETED Certified journeyman heavy duty mechanic
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working on off road equipment (ie. dozers, excavators, graders, side booms, etc.)
Familiarity with pipeline equipment is an asset
Able to think logically, problem solve, and keep up with changing technology
Familiar with parts and service manuals
Able to work well in a team environment
Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
Organized and self-motivated
Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.

Pay: $45.00-$52.00 per hour
