POSITION OVERVIEW

Systems Test Engineer I is responsible for the testing and validation of Gentex systems and applications. They will execute test plans, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that Gentex products meet functional and performance requirements.

Location: This position requires on-site work at Gentex facilities. This role is not eligible for remote work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for system-level testing.
Execute manual and automated tests to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
Conduct regression testing and verify bug fixes to ensure product stability.
Analyze test results and generate detailed reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
Stay current with industry best practices in testing methodologies and tools.
Maintaining a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
1+ years of experience in systems testing or software quality assurance.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience in Python scripting.
Full professional written and verbal proficiency in English.
Ability to travel to the United States.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
Experience testing embedded and mobile systems.
Experience creating automated hardware and software tests.
Experience with Arduino, Raspberry pi and IBM DOORS.

Compensation and Benefits

Gentex offers a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. We also offer a range of benefits and programs to meet our employee needs, based on eligibility. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.
This role offers a salary range of $55,200 CAD to $82,800 CAD, depending on candidate experience, education, and skill set.
