Gen-Systems / JEET is seeking a Business Development Manager, Industrial Temporary Power Solutions based in Calgary, Alberta to lead growth across industrial and non-oilfield customers requiring dependable mobile, temporary, supplemental, and remote-site power solutions.
This role is focused on developing opportunities where customers need power for mining operations, construction projects, municipal infrastructure, remote sites, temporary facilities, camps, maintenance events, planned outages, expansions, and other critical industrial applications.
We are looking for a commercially driven professional with strong knowledge of industrial operations, project-based environments, and technical solution sales, along with an established network across Calgary, Alberta, and Western Canada. The ideal candidate understands how to translate operational challenges into practical power generation solutions that improve continuity, flexibility, deployment speed, reliability, and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow customer relationships across industrial and non-oilfield operating environments in Calgary and surrounding regions
- Identify business opportunities where temporary, mobile, supplemental, or remote-site power can support industrial operations, projects, construction sites, camps, infrastructure work, and facility needs
- Engage operations leaders, project managers, engineering teams, procurement groups, maintenance leaders, municipal stakeholders, and commercial decision-makers to understand operating constraints and power requirements
- Promote Gen-Systems / JEET power offerings for remote operations, planned outages, peak load support, temporary facilities, project execution, and mission-critical continuity
- Qualify opportunities by evaluating load demand, fuel source, project duration, deployment logistics, mobility requirements, and commercial fit
- Work closely with internal technical and operations teams to develop tailored proposals and customer-facing solutions
- Build and maintain an active sales pipeline with regular opportunity reviews, forecasting, and market intelligence updates
- Track activity across industrial projects, infrastructure developments, remote-site operations, and customer initiatives that may create power demand
- Negotiate contracts and support handoff from commercial award to project execution
- Represent the company at customer meetings, site visits, trade events, and relevant industry functions
- Help expand Gen-Systems / JEET market presence across non-oilfield and industrial sectors in Western Canada
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, energy systems, construction management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of business development, account management, or technical sales experience in industrial power, temporary power, distributed energy, construction support, mining services, industrial rentals, generator solutions, or related technical commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of industrial and project-based operating environments
- Proven ability to sell technical or operational solutions into industrial, infrastructure, construction, mining, municipal, or remote-site accounts
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing long sales cycles and complex customer relationships
- Experience developing customer relationships, qualifying opportunities, and advancing business through the sales cycle
- Ability to travel to customer sites and industry meetings as needed
- Valid driver’s license and ability to support regional travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with mining operators, construction firms, municipal organizations, infrastructure contractors, industrial operators, or remote-site project teams in Alberta
- Experience with temporary power, mobile power, generation packages, gas turbines, distributed energy, generator rentals, or industrial power solutions
- Familiarity with project-based procurement, outage support, production continuity, and remote operations
- Understanding of how mobile power solutions support operational uptime, deployment schedules, and cost optimization in industrial environments
- Experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
- Experience selling into rugged, remote, or logistics-heavy operating environments

Compensation / Incentive
