Treasury Operations is responsible for safeguarding the cash assets of the Company through a robust control environment and excellence in operational execution on a global basis. The Treasury Systems & Transformation team supports global Treasury Operations by implementing and enhancing treasury systems, improving processes, and supporting integration with banks and internal platforms.
The Junior Business Systems Analyst will support Treasury technology initiatives with a strong focus on systems, automation, and emerging AI capabilities. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a blend of analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and problem-solving mindset, eager to work at the intersection of Treasury operations and technology innovation.
You will work closely with senior Business Analysts, Technology teams, and Treasury stakeholders to drive improvements across Treasury applications, integrations, and automated workflows, while building foundational expertise in enterprise financial systems.
Position Responsibilities
Treasury Systems & Technical Analysis
- Support analysis and enhancement of Treasury Applications, ERP integrations, and bank connectivity platforms
- Develop foundational understanding of payment processing, cash management, liquidity, and settlement systems
- Assist in identifying system inefficiencies and opportunities for automation and optimization
- Document system workflows, integration points, and technical dependencies
Automation, AI & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to leverage Power Automate, Power Platform, or low-code tools to streamline Treasury processes
- Assist in building automation workflows, prototypes, or AI-assisted solutions (e.g., copilots, rule-based automations, intelligent triggers)
- Support data-driven insights and exploration of AI use cases in Treasury (forecasting, anomaly detection, reconciliation, etc.)
- Demonstrate curiosity and initiative in applying emerging technologies to solve business problems
Data Analysis & Problem Solving
- Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation across systems and files
- Assist in defining data mapping, transformation logic, and file/interface requirements
- Apply critical thinking to identify root causes, trends, and innovative solutions
- Contribute to improving data quality, controls, and transparency
Testing & Implementation
- Create and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios
- Support Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Track defects, retest fixes, and ensure solution quality prior to deployment
Business & Requirement Analysis
- Gather and document business and system requirements, including user stories, process flows, and functional specs
- Collaborate in workshops with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Support creation of current-state vs. future-state process models, with focus on efficiency and scalability
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with cross-functional teams including Treasury, Finance, IT, and external vendors/banks
- Build strong working relationships with a service-oriented mindset
- Contribute ideas proactively and challenge assumptions through thoughtful, out-of-the-box thinking
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain clear and structured technical and business documentation
- Develop user guides, job aids, and training materials
- Support post-implementation activities including hyper-care and issue resolution
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related discipline
- 0–3 years of experience (including co-op/internships) in Business Analysis, Technology, Treasury, or Financial Systems
- Exposure to Treasury concepts, banking operations, or financial systems is an asset
- Basic understanding of system integrations, APIs, or data flows preferred
Skills & Competencies
Technical & Digital Skills
- Exposure to Treasury systems, ERP platforms, or financial applications
- Hands-on or coursework experience with:
- Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Data tools (Excel, SQL, or similar)
- Low-code or scripting tools (Python, Alteryx, etc.)
- Interest or exposure to AI/automation use cases in business environments
- Understanding of APIs, file-based integrations, or system interfaces

Salary range is expected to be between
$62,850.00 CAD - $104,750.00 CAD
