Full job description

POSITION SUMMARY

CCA Truck Driver Training is hiring an individual for the position of administrative assistant. An Administrative Assistant will help with scheduling classes, taking calls, as well as all other general administrative duties as required. We are looking to fill a full-time position, and this position would require working Saturdays.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff the front desk and greet walk-in customers.
Handle payments and inquiries from students and provide front-line problem solving.
Handle phone calls including bookings for classes and sales calls.
Manage student database.
Take care of all ingoing and outgoing emails.
Create daily documentation like schedules and dispatch sheets.
Schedule equipment, instructors, and classroom training.
Other duties within job scope as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Reliable transportation is required due to the company's hours of operation.
High School or equivalent education preferred. Post-secondary education is an advantage but not a requirement.
Able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
Competent with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word,
PowerPoint).
Strong people skills and organizational abilities.
Ability to communicate clearly and consistently to individuals with a wide range of

language, learning and cultural backgrounds.

Previous experience in an administrative position is an advantage.
At least (2) references are required.

Compensation

The non-probationary rate of pay starts between $23-$25/hr.

This position is paid hourly based on experience with an increase at the 3-month probationary period.
Health Spending Account available after 2 months.
2 weeks’ paid vacation.

Hours of Work

Full-Time: 40hrs/week, 8-10 hours per day. You may be scheduled as required for any of the following shifts:

Weekday Shifts starting as early as 7am.
Weekday Shifts ending no later than 5:30pm.
Saturday Shifts from 7am-5pm as required to cover time off.
Scheduled breaks on shift.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
