SJC Content is seeking a Production & Merchandise Coordinator to join their team on a three month contract. The Production Merchandise & Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all merchandise samples are available, organized, and production-ready for Walmart photography shoots. This role serves as the primary liaison between Walmart, Shipping, Photography, Creative, and Project Management teams to coordinate sample availability and maintain efficient photo shoot scheduling. The coordinator plays a critical role in preventing production delays by proactively tracking sample status, resolving inventory gaps, and communicating updates to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Liaison between Shipping, Creative, Photography, Walmart partners, and Project Management teams regarding merchandise sample readiness.

Review and reconcile photography shoot lists against merchandise sample reports to verify that all required samples have arrived at SJC staging area prior to scheduled shoots.

Monitor sample inventory and track the status of all products needed for upcoming photography sessions.

Coordinate with Walmart contacts and Project Managers to obtain updated status reports when samples are delayed, missing, or unavailable.

Communicate sample availability issues to Photography and Production teams to minimize disruptions and adjust schedules as needed.

Advise on product sample delays, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of revised timelines.

Partner with Shipping and Logistics teams to expedite the movement of merchandise samples when necessary.

Support Creative and Photography teams by ensuring products are properly received, accounted for, and prepared before scheduled shoots.

Identify potential scheduling risks and proactively recommend solutions to maintain production timelines.
Qualifications

Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.

Experience working with cross-functional teams including Creative, Photography, Shipping, and Merchandising.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and inventory tracking systems.

Previous experience in merchandising, production coordination, retail operations, or photography production is preferred.
Key Success Factors
Success in this role is measured by the coordinator's ability to ensure that all required merchandise samples are available and ready for photography shoots, minimizing production delays and maximizing studio efficiency. By proactively managing sample readiness, the Production Merchandise Coordinator helps ensure photographers, art directors, creative teams, and production staff can execute scheduled shoots without interruption, resulting in timely delivery of high-quality content for Walmart merchandising initiatives.
