BKL Consultants Ltd. is looking for a Senior Architectural Acoustics Consultant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a senior member of our team, you will direct high-profile projects that will shape the acoustical landscape of Western Canada. In addition to directing technical projects, you will play a key role in mentoring senior consultants and engaging with regulatory bodies and other industry leaders who are eager to strengthen acoustical practices and standards.

What You’ll Do
- Project Oversight: Direct our team to take full ownership of project lifecycles, from proposal preparation to data analysis and report delivery, and client management.
- Collaborate and Mentor: Lead and mentor a team of acoustical consultants, while working closely with BKL’s leadership, administrators and other professionals to meet project goals.
- Advocate for Acoustics: Represent BKL at meetings and public forums, acting as an advocate for the promotion of acoustics in both private and public sectors.
- Thought Leadership: Write and present technical reports, publish research, and lead seminars to help shape the future of acoustics in Western Canada.
- Client Management: Positively impact current and future clients and the projects they bring to BKL by providing world class technical expertise and sales support.
What You’ll Bring to the Job
- A minimum of 15 years of consulting experience in acoustics, with a focus on architectural and building acoustics and experience with environmental noise and vibration assessment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Acoustics, Audio Technology or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- The ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism, flexibility, and diplomacy.
- Strong technical expertise, with a solid understanding of acoustics and the ability to engage with stakeholders to influence policy and practices.
- Experience with acoustical modelling software, test equipment, and methodologies for sound and vibration measurements.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures in a consulting environment.
What We Offer
- Annual salary of $120,000 to $150,000 with overtime paid at time-and-a-half.
