About Us

We are a growing project management and construction contracting firm based in Richmond, BC. We specialize in large-scale residential and commercial renovations, municipal permit applications (DP/BP), and structural coordination. We pride ourselves on efficiency, technical compliance, and high-quality execution.

We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented technologist to join our team and help bring our project concepts to life.

Job Description & Responsibilities

As an Architectural Technologist, you will work closely with our project management and engineering teams to produce precise architectural and structural drawings. Your day-to-day will include:

Preparing detailed 2D architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and structural sections for municipal building permit (BP/DP) submissions.
Modifying and updating existing drawing packages based on site measurements, city inspector feedback, or engineering changes.
Coordinating with project managers, structural engineers, and MEP consultants to ensure design accuracy and compliance with code requirements.
Developing 3D models and renderings to assist with project visualization and client presentations when needed.
Maintaining organized digital drawing archives and project documentation.
Traveling to various project sites across the Lower Mainland for site measurements, structural verification, and project coordination.

Qualifications & Requirements

AutoCAD Mastery is a MUST. You must be highly proficient, fast, and organized with layers, blocks, and Xrefs in 2D drafting.
Building Code Knowledge is a MUST. Solid familiarity with local municipal bylaws and the BC Building Code (BCBC) is required to ensure drawings pass city review.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of drafting experience in the Canadian architectural industry.
Communication: Strong communication skills in English. Ability to understand and interpret hand-sketches, site notes, and technical redlines.
Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for structural accuracy, dimensions, and clear presentation.
Mobility: Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5) and access to a reliable vehicle are required for travel to project sites and municipal offices.

Assets (Highly Valued but Not Required)

3D Modeling & Rendering: Proficiency in 3D drafting or rendering software (such as SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, or AutoCAD 3D) is a strong asset.

Experience:

AutoCAD: 5 years (Required)
