TDE is searching for Structural Design Draftsperson who will be responsible for preparation of fabrication drawings utilizing Tekla and AutoCad software with a high degree of accuracy and independence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes but not limited to:

Revise and generate the following drawings:
· Tekla 3D structural drawings
· Material take-offs
· Stick drawings
· Pipe racks
· Cable racks
· Crane drawings
· Rigid building drawings
· Skid drawings
Generate any other miscellaneous drawings (i.e. skids, ladders, platforms, etc) as requested.
Revise standard drawings as necessary.
Back drafting and revision of shop drawings.
Back-drafting or “As Builts” from other disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous co-op, internship, or academic project experience in plant design within a manufacturing environment is considered an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with up to two (2) years of relevant experience.
Structural Engineering Technology, Petroleum Engineering Technology or Engineering Design / Drafting Technology Diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency working with AutoCad and Tekla or similar software including the ability to use all features of the program.
Proficiency working with Process Industry Practices for structural (STF..), Alberta Building Code, Canada Building Code, NFPA, OSHA, ANSI, ASTM.
Familiarity with instrument symbols, welding symbols and processes.
Extensive knowledge structural sections, detailing, and connections.
Proficient knowledge of industry best practices.
Proven ability to produce high quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines.
Ability to prioritize activities, adapt to change, and stay focused in a dynamic environment.
Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with all levels of staff.
Demonstrate sensitivity and discretion when working with confidential information.
