Looking for work in the Driving and Delivery field? We are searching for reliable individuals who possess a DZ license in good standing to join our Delivery Team.

Established in 1867, we are a major independent food service, packaging and sanitation supply distributor committed to exceeding our customers' expectations. We proudly call Hamilton our home, however we have branch locations in Niagara Falls and Kitchener to help service our customers throughout Southern Ontario.

New drivers with less than 3 years of DZ driving experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be willing to travel to any of the regions that our business covers, including the GTA.

Main Responsibilities

· deliver customer orders, provide ‘extra-mile’ service

· identify, count and verify product being delivered

· pick up product at customer and supplier locations

· accurately complete all delivery and pick up paperwork

· load, drive and operate truck safely on behalf of the company

· perform other general warehouse operation tasks as directed

Physical Requirements

· able to lift up to 50 lb. on a regular basis

· able to sit and stand for long periods of time during each shift

· able to withstand varying amounts of sitting, walking, reaching, lifting and bending

· able to work alone for periods of time with little supervision

Position Requirements

· must possess a DZ class license in good standing

· previous driving and delivery experience are preferred but not mandatory

· must possess proven communication and problem solving skills

· must understand the importance and value of the customer

Work Environment

· truck cabin / small space

· dusty warehouse environment

· dim lighting in warehouse

· variable temperatures

· varying levels of noise

Schedule Requirements

- 35-44 hours per week; could vary depending on the needs of the department

-Tuesday to Friday; with Monday rotating shift

- must have availability on Mondays in the event the department needs delivery associates working Monday through Friday on a regular basis in the future

- hours of operation range anywhere from 4:00am through to 6:00pm; official work schedule to be confirmed at hire
