THE ROLE
We are looking for a Marketing & Content Coordinator who lives and breathes social media, loves being at live events, and genuinely cares about the arts and culture community.
This is not a sit-at-your-desk-and-schedule-posts role (although it definitely involves some of that!). This is for someone who sees a unique event or a packed venue and immediately thinks about how to tell that story online - someone who understands that great content does not just look good, it builds communities and drives results.
You will be the creative engine behind EMM Creative's social presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You will work with a rich library of existing photos and video, create new content at live events, and help produce marketing materials that reflect who we are and why we are the best at what we do.
This role starts part-time (4 to 8 hours per week) and grows with us. We have multiple divisions that need strong content and marketing support, so for the right person, this is just the beginning.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Create and schedule engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube - with no more than 48 hours between posts
- Attend major EMM Creative events to capture on-site content (photos, video, reels, stories), then edit from home / your device
- Repurpose our existing library of event photos and videos into fresh, on-brand content
- Build marketing materials including event flyers, sponsorship decks, and promotional graphics using Canva
- Stay current on social media trends and bring forward ideas that keep our content fresh and relevant
- Use AI tools to increase content output and efficiency without sacrificing quality or authenticity
- Submit all content for review and approval before posting while we establish brand alignment
- Support broader marketing initiatives across the EMM Creative brand as the role grows
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A genuine passion for live events, arts, culture, and the communities they build
- Natural fluency on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube – you don't have to think too hard about this, it's just how you operate
- Proficiency in Canva – you know your way around templates, brand kits, and custom design
- Comfort and curiosity with AI tools for content creation and copywriting
- Strong eye for visual storytelling and what makes content stop the scroll
- Ability to work within brand guidelines while still bringing creative energy
- Self-directed and reliable –you meet deadlines, communicate proactively, and don't need hand-holding
- Bonus points if you have a portfolio, personal account, or pages you have grown that you are proud of
WHAT WE OFFER
- Starting rate of $20/hr, with room to grow based on your performance and what you bring to the table
- Flexible part-time hours with a hybrid work setup
- Free tickets to some of the most exciting arts and culture events in Western Canada
- A front-row seat to large-scale event production with an award-winning team that is passionate and meticulous in their craft
- Real growth potential across multiple EMM divisions for the right person
- A creative, supportive environment where your ideas will be heard
