Position Description: Reporting to the Software Team Leader, the Software Engineer is responsible for software application implementation and support. Duties include, but are not limited to, creating technical specifications, estimating development tasks, writing clean and scalable code to create software applications, documenting the design and code, responding to customer-initiated bug reports and feature requests.

Responsibilities:

Execute in an Agile methodology
Work with Product Management to refine market requirements into product requirements
Collaborate with team members to
- Refine user experience designs
- Establish development practices
- Define sprint targets in alignment with business priorities
- Design and develop software using best practices
- Inspect, verify the work of others through code reviews and development testing
Create and maintain software/architecture documentation to effectively communicate system development
Remain current with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
Execute development plans by meeting or exceeding sprint and milestone targets
Achieve schedule

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree (B. Sc.) from four-year College or university; or 8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong Microsoft .NET development experience is required.
5+ years of full stack development experience in design and development of web applications ensuring security, protection of customer data, performance, scalability, and exceptional user experience.
3+ years of Agile development experience
Strong understanding of Reactive Systems, Microservices and Domain Driven Design
Proven experience with AWS and web development directly resulting in timely delivery of software solutions in the cloud.
Expert level design experience in a variety of web and cloud technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, React.JS, Angular, .NET
Aggressive diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to learn rapidly and master emerging technologies
Track record of hitting schedules on projects
Strong English communication skills
Above all, must be a highly motivated, collaborative team player, and over-achiever who is passionate and driven to deliver results.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Proficient in C# language and Object-Oriented programming
Strong knowledge of .NET Framework - ASP.NET, .NET, Web Form, .NET MVC
JavaScript, CSS
Database Design and Management in either MSSQL or AWS RDS.
Web Services (SOAP, REST) and API
GIT repository source control
Understand and familiar with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle
Strong debugging skill and a motivated self-learner.

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED AS ASSETS:

Familiarity with AWS
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Network and Application securities (e.g. OWASP)
Visual Studio and Azure DevOps Services
CI/CD pipeline DevOps.
Familiarity with Unit Test Frameworks
Windows PowerShell
Internet Information Services (IIS)
Microsoft BizTalk
Demonstrable Experience in Development or Support on one or more of:
- Supply Chain Management
- Healthcare Products
- Security Products
- Cloud Based Applications, SaaS
