Full job description

Whissel Strategies is seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Digital Designer & Front-End Developer with strong experience in WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, GoHighLevel (GHL), Figma, Canva, and modern digital design principles.

This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of projects from strategy and visual design through to full implementation and launch. You’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day project execution, improving operational efficiency, and delivering high-performing websites, funnels, branding assets, and digital experiences for a wide range of clients.

We are looking for someone who is both technically capable and creatively strong, someone who can confidently manage projects, communicate clearly with clients, and execute at a high level in a fast-paced agency environment.

ResponsibilitiesWeb Design, Development & Creative Execution

Design and develop websites using WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, and GoHighLevel
Create modern, high-converting website layouts, landing pages, funnels, and user experiences
Design digital assets including banners, graphics, mockups, presentations, social creatives, and branded materials
Create wireframes, mockups, and UI concepts using Figma and Canva
Handle projects from concept to launch, including strategy, design, implementation, revisions, QA, and deployment
Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, SEO, conversions, and user experience
Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure consistent quality across all deliverables
Maintain strong visual consistency across brands and marketing materials

Client Communication & Project Coordination

Serve as a primary point of contact for active web and design projects
Provide clients with weekly project updates through the project management system
Lead client meetings and communicate both technical details and creative direction clearly
Translate client goals into technical requirements, visual concepts, and actionable tasks
Handle scope discussions and help maintain projects on time and on budget
Collaborate with internal team members to ensure efficient execution across design, development, SEO, and marketing

Operational Support

Help improve internal workflows, systems, and project coordination
Manage smaller projects independently from start to finish
Support the agency with creative problem solving and process improvements

Expected Outcomes

5+ successful website or funnel launches per month
High-quality, visually polished, and high-performance deliverables across all projects
Strong communication and professionalism with clients
Organized project execution with minimal oversight required
Increased operational efficiency and accountability within the team
Consistent branding and creative quality across digital assets

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with:

WordPress
Elementor
Shopify
GoHighLevel (GHL)
HTML/CSS
Figma
Canva
UI/UX and modern web design principles
Digital design and branding fundamentals

Additional requirements:

Experience working in an agency environment
Strong understanding of responsive web design and conversion-focused UX
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
