Location: Winnipeg, MB
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $29.00/hour

Staffmax is currently hiring an Underwriting Operational Support Specialist – Personal Lines for our client, a well-established organization in the insurance industry. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience supporting underwriting operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide operational support for Personal Lines underwriting activities by processing broker and internal requests efficiently and accurately.
Review and respond to requests in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
Support internal departments and business partners with evolving operational needs.
Assist with strategic initiatives, including system enhancements, testing activities, and process improvements.
Maintain productivity standards and meet established service-level expectations and KPIs.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving data, workflows, and system applications.
Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence.
Stay informed on industry regulations, market trends, and operational best practices.
Adapt effectively to changing priorities and business requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1–3 years of Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred.
Completion of, or progress toward, a CIP designation is considered an asset.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Bilingual English/French is considered an asset.
