Oakcreek Golf & Turf is hiring a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal) – Shop & Field to join our Kelowna, British Columbia team.

This role is ideal for a certified technician who enjoys a mix of in-shop and field service work, takes pride in diagnosing and repairing complex equipment, and is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a well-established company.

We supply and service equipment used across multiple industries, including:

Mountain and ski resort operations
Golf courses
Municipalities
Golf, turf, and other grounds maintenance operations

Our product lines include Pisten Bully snowcats, Toro commercial turf equipment, Yamaha golf cars, BOSS snowplows, and Ventrac, giving our technicians exposure to a diverse range of specialized equipment used across multiple environments.

What You’ll Be Working On

PistenBully snowcats along with Toro commercial turf equipment, Yamaha golf cars, and Ventrac equipment
Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Equipment used across golf, turf, municipal, and mountain and ski resort environments

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in both shop and field environments
Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, inspections)
Inspect equipment to detect faults and determine required repairs
Install accessories and attachments (decks, blades, winches, canopies, etc.)
Adjust, repair, or replace defective components using hand and power tools
Test repaired equipment to ensure performance meets manufacturer specifications
Travel to customer sites as required to perform on-site service
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

What You Bring

Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal) (required)
3–5+ years of related work experience
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Advanced hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience (preferred)
Experience with computer-based diagnostics (preferred)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond with a sense of urgency
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team
Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally (for training, if required)

Additional Information

Position is based in Kelowna with a mix of shop work and dispatched field service
Standard hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
Overtime and occasional overnight travel may be required
Increased overtime is typical during the winter season supporting equipment at mountain and ski resort operations
Company vehicle provided for field service calls
Candidates are required to supply their own standard tools (specialty tools provided)
Travel for manufacturer training (including U.S. or international) may be required
