Bilingual Senior Account Manager, Commercial Insurance

Build meaningful client relationships in a fast-paced insurance environment where your expertise and communication skills make a real impact. This permanent full-time opportunity offers competitive compensation, benefits effective from the first day, flexibility to work from home and the office, quarterly travel to Québec, and the chance to grow within a collaborative organization located in Toronto’s financial district.

What is in it for you:

Annual salary of 70K-85K based on experience.
Additional earning potential through cross-selling commissions, referrals to other departments, an annual discretionary bonus of up to 12%, and a variable bonus based on team practice performance.
Permanent full-time position.
Standard schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
40 hours per week with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
Hybrid role with approximately 90% remote work and 10% in-office attendance for team meetings and events.
Quarterly travel to Québec required as part of the role.
3 weeks of vacation upon hiring.
6 personal/sick days and 2 bereavement days.
Additional paid time off including 1 holiday bonus day, 1 birthday bonus day, 2 religious days, 1 volunteer day, and 1 study and exam day.
Benefits coverage through Greenshield and MyHSA, including 80% dental coverage, 100% prescription coverage, and a health and wellness spending account.

Equipment provided includes up to 2 monitors, laptop, keyboard, mouse, headset, webcam, and docking station.

Responsibilities:

Provide a consultative client experience to support clients in making informed decisions regarding their professional insurance needs.
Build and maintain client relationships by understanding their unique requirements and identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell insurance products.
Refer clients to internal teams including Personal Insurance, Commercial Enterprise, and Life and Benefits, when appropriate.
Manage a high volume of renewals by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance companies, account executives, assistant account managers, and marketing teams.
Collaborate with an Assistant Account Manager on policy administration tasks, including applications, renewals, endorsement changes, cancellations, re-marketing activities, and claims application initiation.
Maintain accurate client records and interactions within the Broker Management System and other company portals.
Support clients through multiple communication channels in a fast-paced environment.
Act as a liaison between clients and insurance companies regarding underwriting concerns and provide underwriting guidance.
Support financial operations by assisting with invoicing, payment collection, and account reconciliation activities.

What you will need to succeed:

RIBO license required (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario certification).
Bilingual in English and French to support clients, stakeholders, and business activities in both languages, including quarterly travel to Québec.
5-7 years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Underwriting, or related roles within an insurance brokerage or insurance company.
Exposure to Underwriting, Commercial Insurance, including Professional Liability Insurance and Commercial General Liability Insurance, or Group Insurance is considered a strong asset.
Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple demands effectively.
Client-centric mindset with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
Positive, articulate, engaging, empathetic, and approachable communication style.
