Job Summary

The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the flow of materials between the warehouse and production areas to support efficient manufacturing operations. This role ensures materials, components, and parts are available when needed to meet production schedules and customer deadlines. The Production Coordinator works closely with Production, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams to proactively manage material movement, monitor shortages, and maintain accurate inventory and build status information.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the movement of materials between warehouse and production to ensure parts are available when required.
Monitor material requirements and proactively arrange replenishment and material transfers to prevent shortages, delays, or production disruptions.
Align material availability with production schedules and adjust priorities to support changing production demands and deadlines.
Track the status of parts and materials throughout the build process while maintaining accurate inventory and material status records.
Collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams to ensure materials are staged, organized, and ready prior to the start of production activities.
Identify potential material shortages, supply gaps, or process risks and take corrective action before they impact production schedules.
Utilize systems and software such as Visual Manufacturing, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Excel to track materials, communicate priorities, and maintain production visibility.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency.
Communicate material concerns, shortages, and schedule impacts to relevant departments in a timely manner.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while following company procedures and policies.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in manufacturing, production coordination, materials management, logistics, or a related role preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems, preferably Visual Manufacturing, considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
High attention to detail and accuracy in tracking materials and inventory information.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing and production environment.
Frequent communication with warehouse, purchasing, and production personnel.
May require occasional lifting, walking between departments, and time spent on the production floor.
