Rustic Scrap Metal is looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join our team in a full-time Yard Operator position.

Responsibilities:

Sort and process scrap metal materials.
Operate excavators, skid steers, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Unload customer vehicles and assist customers in the yard.
Scale and purchase non-ferrous metals including copper, aluminum, batteries, brass, and other recyclable materials.
Load scrap metal into trailers and trucks for shipment.
Perform daily equipment inspections, including checking fluid levels and greasing equipment.
Assist with general yard maintenance and housekeeping.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Experience operating excavators and skid steers is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge and equipment maintenance experience are considered strong assets.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver's license required; Class 1A is an asset but not required.
