JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Supervisor plans, coordinates and monitors activities of a warehouse and office operations team. Proactively responds to events and issues that threaten the productivity and quality of the operation. Ensures effective communication with team members, through observation while on the warehouse floor, one-on-one meetings and team meetings. Builds open and honest relationships with the customer, ensures the team provides service excellence, understands and anticipates customer needs.
SHIFT: Tuesday to Saturday 10:30am - 7:00pm
Reporting and Analytics
- Overseeing regulatory compliance reporting
- Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining operational KPI reports for leadership review
- Supporting operational planning and budget tracking through data analysis and reporting
Recruitment
- Supporting the recruitment and selection of qualified drivers to meet operational staffing needs
Driver Onboarding
- Managing the driver onboarding process to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into operations
Training and Development
- Developing and overseeing driver training programs including orientation, in-cab training, online training and classroom instruction
- Providing ongoing coaching and mentorship to improve driver performance and safety standards
Driver Services and Support
- Serving as the primary point of contact for driver support and operational guidance
- Addressing driver performance concerns through structured coaching, feedback, and disciplinary action where required
- Promoting and reinforcing a positive driving culture centred on safety, accountability, animal care, and operational excellence
- Collaborating closely with Operations to ensure alignment between driver capacity and freight requirements
EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) years warehouse experience, with two (2) years in a leadership role preferably at a 3PL.

EDUCATION
- Completion of college diploma in business management with a focus in logistics or the equivalent in combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management is an asset.
- Preferably a college diploma in business management with focus in logistics management or the equivalent in experience.
