Role Overview (Independent Contractor)

We are seeking an Independent Contractor – Registered Dietitian (RD) licensed in British Columbia (BC) who is passionate about supporting clients with plant-based or plant-rich nutrition. This is a fully remote contractor role with flexible hours. You will provide one-on-one nutrition counseling virtually through Zoom.

Scope of Work

Conduct virtual nutrition consultations with clients assigned to you
Provide personalized, evidence-based nutrition guidance tailored to plant-based or plant-rich diets
Support clients with meal planning, nutrient adequacy, and dietary transitions
Document client sessions in the Practice Better platform in line with professional standards
Address a variety of nutrition needs, including general wellness, chronic disease management, and family nutrition

Preferred Qualifications

Registered Dietitian (RD) with a valid license to practice in British Columbia (mandatory)
Knowledge of and professional experience in plant-based nutrition
Experience supporting vegetarian and vegan clients (asset)
Commitment to a plant-forward approach to nutrition, reflecting the needs of our clients
Experience in virtual counseling or telehealth preferred
Comfortable using online platforms (Zoom, Practice Better, or similar systems)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We offer a flexible part-time model where you set your availability and clients book directly into your calendar. Would this schedule work for you? If yes, please indicate your general availability (e.g., Monday–Wednesday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.). At this time, we are seeking a minimum of 10–15 hours per week of open availability.
How many years of overall private practice experience do you have as a dietitian?
Many of our clients follow plant-based or vegan diets and expect guidance that does not include animal products. Please describe your experience and comfort level supporting clients long-term within this framework.
Do you currently hold an active Registered Dietitian (RD) license in British Columbia (BC)?
