Job Summary

Level 3 only ( on call or casual)

Must have police check/ First Aid / Level 3 certificate .

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the developmental and emotional needs of children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, including those with special needs, and possess a genuine passion for early childhood education. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and supportive space where children can learn, grow, and thrive through structured activities and attentive caregiving.

Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor children's activities to ensure safety and engagement throughout the day
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
Provide attentive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with personal hygiene as needed
Foster positive social interactions among children to encourage cooperation and emotional growth
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety standards
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care when necessary
Assist with classroom management and support other staff members as required

Skills

Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or related fields
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
Strong teaching skills to facilitate learning through play and structured activities
Excellent caregiving abilities with patience, empathy, and attentiveness
Ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and team members
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to childcare environments
Effective communication skills to clearly convey information to families and team members
Ability to adapt quickly to the changing needs of children in a dynamic setting

Job Types: Freelance, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
