Who You Are

Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of confidentiality and healthcare data practices
Able to interpret legislation and support privacy operations
Comfortable working across departments to improve registration, documentation and compliance
Interested in advancing a career in health information governance

What You’ll Do

Support investigations and documentation of privacy breaches
Contribute to privacy audits
Assist with in-person privacy training
Help maintain privacy logs and internal training materials
Assist with documentation quality reviews and chart audits
Work with HIM, IT, and clinical departments to improve data integrity
Support WAHA’s accreditation and digital health strategy from a privacy and quality lens

What You Bring

Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or related field is required
Working knowledge of PHIPA and Canadian health privacy legislation
Willing to obtain Certified Information Privacy Professional certificate
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset
