Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of our clinic. Your expertise in animal handling, veterinary terminology, and laboratory techniques will contribute to delivering top-tier veterinary services. Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques.
Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations or treatments.
Conduct laboratory tests using our IDEXX in house lab equipment, such as blood work, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses.
Maintain detailed medical records, including pet care histories, treatment plans, and laboratory results.
Administer medications, injections and treatments as directed by veterinarians while monitoring patient responses.
Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with dental cleanings.
Handle radiography (X-ray) procedures accurately while adhering to safety protocols to produce clear diagnostic images.
Support pet owners through education on animal physiology, pet care best practices, and post-treatment instructions.
Contribute to a positive clinic environment through dog training techniques and animal behavior management strategies.

Requirements

Prior experience working as a veterinary technician or in a veterinary setting is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices.
Experience with kennel management, grooming, dog handling, and animal restraint techniques.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray imaging, and aseptic techniques essential for diagnostics.
Excellent animal handling skills combined with patience and compassion for pets and their owners.
Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices such as catheterization and emergency response protocols.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
