Looking for a millwright role with more variety and independence?

Join Ayr Welding as a Field Service Millwright (433A) and work on a wide variety of industrial equipment across Southwestern Ontario.

This is a hands-on role for experienced millwrights who want independence, variety, and real problem-solving—not repetitive maintenance work.

Pay & Benefits

$38–$44/hour (based on experience and skill level)
Overtime available
Employer-paid health and dental benefits
RRSP matching program (up to 4%) after 6 months
Boot and work pant allowance after 6 months
Shift premiums for out-of-town and night work
Stable, year-round employment

Schedule

Regular work week: approximately 44 hours
Overtime based on project demands

Work Environment & Travel

Field-based role (based out of Ayr, ON)
Daily travel to customer sites
Work primarily within Southwestern Ontario
Fast-paced, varied work environment

What You’ll Be Doing

Installing, aligning, and commissioning industrial equipment
Troubleshooting mechanical systems in the field
Performing maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades
Working on piping systems, fabrication installs, and equipment moves
Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
Supporting construction and retrofit projects
Working independently or with a small team

What We’re Looking For

Licensed 433A Millwright (or equivalent)
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a millwright role
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
Comfortable working independently in a field/service environment
Experience across multiple equipment types or industries is an asset
Valid G driver’s license
