Role:
As an Operations Manager, you will oversee and be part of the day-to-day service operations of our Surrey, BC location, and contribute to our National Service Team, by leading a team of Service Technicians to efficiently deliver customer satisfaction and revenue growth in line with targeted business and financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Assign tasks to technicians
- Manage technician performance and work schedules
- Communicate with equipment owners for authorizing of servicing and repairs as required
- Hands on technical resource to Surrey’s Service Department and CanCrete National Service Team in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical concrete pump repairs as shop capacity requires
- Manage efficient and profitable operation of Surrey’s Service Department
- Responsible for ensuring monthly/annual business results/KPIs are met
- Member of the CanCrete National Service team – inputting to and taking direction from - back to team
- Knowledgeable in end-to-end equipment servicing/repair processes including procurement through to invoicing
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
- Ensure fair, timely, and quality service work on all client units
- Over the phone customer support may be required
- Create/review documentation and/or work orders to ensure all required information is accurate, legible and complete for communication with clients and accounting
- Close Wos once reviewed for parts, labour, and technical content.
- Provide employee mentorship, and performance feedback
- Monitor and maintain productivity, proficiency, and efficiency of the service associates
- Act as an escalation point and problem solver for customers, and team
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations
- Adhere to Manufacturer’s warranty policies and procedures, and company policies and procedures
- Maintain supportive/productive relationships with suppliers across various brands
- Maintain tools and equipment to company standards
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
- Direct quality control inspections
Qualifications:
- Education: College Diploma or University Degree
- 5+ years experience in a service management position
- Technician experience with concrete pumping equipment is an asset
- Possess strong technical skills with the ability to inspect, diagnose, recommend, service, and repair faults & malfunctions in mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and electronics of equipment
- Proficiency in using MS Windows, Microsoft Office Suite applications
- SAP proficiency +2 years experience is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver results including KPI responsibility
- An organized, strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to prioritize tasks at hand
- Competent in utilizing Technical Manuals
- Valid driver’s license
- DZ license an asset

Pay: $120,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
