The NCM data platform provides an end-end telemetry platform that includes telemetry data collection via agents and a big data pipeline that provides capabilities such as data transformation/processing, data warehousing, and data analytics. The NCM data platform is a team of 12 people, spread across India and the US, with a mix of senior and junior engineers. The team works in a hybrid environment, prioritizing deliverables while dedicating time for cross-geo collaboration. The team's success lies in its ability to bring together diverse skill sets and work towards building a unified experience for Nutanix customers.

Design and develop the next generation of Data Platform features for on-prem and cloud environments.
Participate in data modeling discussions and influence the data products roadmap to ensure optimal solutions for various service teams.
Work across all core components of a big data platform including API gateways, message buses, databases, and database abstraction layers.
Propose and drive the adoption of best practices for operationalizing data platforms, including data catalogs, tracing capabilities, and configuration-driven changes.
Design and implement data engineering solutions by authoring complex jobs via Apache Spark to satisfy advanced workload requirements.
Collaborate closely with development, test, documentation, and product management teams across geographies to deliver high-quality platform services.
6-8 years of experience with a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or related streams.
Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Python, Scala, Java, Golang, or C++.
Demonstrated experience working with database technologies and optimizing high-throughput data workloads.
Hands-on experience working with big data technologies, the Kubernetes ecosystem, and microservice architectural patterns.
Strong technical accountability and an owner's mindset when developing core infrastructure components under demanding requirements.
Practical understanding and working experience in SaaS technology development best practices, such as Agile methodologies.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD $148,000 and CAD $222,000 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
