What we are looking for:

Medi-Share Inc is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Adult Cardiac Sonographer to work in our Exeter and Clinton locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Able to work independently, and collaboratively with interprofessional teams.
Produce high-quality cardiac diagnostic images that meet or exceed the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.
Produce clear preliminary reports for interpreting physicians, meeting or exceeding the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.
Holds a strong patient focus. Verbally instructing the patient of the examination and guides the patient verbally throughout to ensure the patient is comfortable for the duration of the exam.
Keep a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation. Including proper care of machine, probes, and maintenance logs.
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development in order to ensure optimal patient care
Perform IV insertions for contrast studies (experience an asset, but training will be provided.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography
Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and/or Sonography Canada
Current active member with CMRITO(College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as they relate to patient care
Current CPR certification
Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with professional association, etc.) preferred
Experience with IV insertion and contrast echo an asset, but training will be provided.
Strong communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a clinic environment

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
