ATTENTION ALL CLASS 1 & 3 COMMERCIAL DRIVERS

Independent Concrete Ltd. is one of Victoria’s top producers of quality Ready Mixed Concrete. We are dedicated and proud to provide quality product and service to the Residential, Infrastructure and Commercial segments within our region and offer competitive compensation and benefits as well as a collaborative team environment that values and rewards hard work.

Independent Concrete Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for the right individuals to join our Team. Fast paced, customer-oriented environment, responsible for safely and efficiently delivering RMX Concrete throughout Greater Victoria in a timely manner. Provides support in production to ensure the Company remains well-known for providing quality product and excellent service.

Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Stakeholder Relations – build, maintain and have excellent interaction with our Customers, the General Public and Colleagues. Promote and maintain a TEAM environment. Represent the Company in a positive manner.

Health & Safety - promote a safe working environment; ensuring the company’s health & safety policies and procedures are being followed. Ensuring Near Miss, Incident and Accident reports are completed and forwarded in a timely manner. Participate in site inspections and safety committee/meetings as required.

Deliver RMX Concrete and participate in Quality Control, addition of value-added products, provide information and feedback to Batch Person to ensure quality product is produced and delivered.

Conduct pre and post trip inspections and submit inspections to Dispatch for record keeping. Write up deficiencies and coordinate with Maintenance Shop for any repairs and maintenance required. Grease equipment daily and assist with light maintenance. Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of equipment.

Production – Assist Plant Personnel and in concrete block form operations as required.

Housekeeping – Assist in cleaning/maintenance activities around yard and plant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00-$37.25 per hour
