Job Summary

The Team
The Community Youth Justice Admin Support Team is a collaborative and supportive group of administrative professionals who provide essential administrative and CORNET support to Youth Probation Offices across the province. Working closely with Youth Probation Officers, Team Leaders, Directors of Operations, and Office Managers, the team plays a key role in supporting community-based youth justice services that promote accountability, rehabilitation, and positive outcomes for youth while helping to keep communities safe.

The Role
As a Team Assistant, Youth Justice, you will provide essential administrative, financial, and CORNET data entry support to Youth Probation Teams across British Columbia, helping ensure the effective delivery of services to youth and families. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative provincial team and make a meaningful contribution to community-based youth justice programs that support rehabilitation, accountability, and positive outcomes for young people.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

Certificate or coursework and at least 6 months **related experience; OR
Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and at least 6 months **related experience; OR
Evergreen and at least 1-year **related experience; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Related Work Experience may include each of the following:

Experience working in a computerized environment using various computer applications and databases. (For example: Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel, Outlook, Lync) for word processing, spread sheeting, data entry, email and video teleconferencing; and case management or other database applications.
Experience providing quality customer or client service, carrying out duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner.
Experience working independently and as a team member with a multi-disciplinary environment and with other professional staff, clients, and service providers.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more the following:

Administrative experience working with vulnerable children and families in a human/social services setting.
Experience using MCFD applications: CORNET; JUSTIN; Integrated Case Management (ICM) and/or Management Information Systems (MIS) computer applications.
One (1) year or more experience working with CORNET and/or to those candidates who hold a CORNET license.
Experience with youth probation officers and provided direct client service to these individuals.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
