About Altex:
Altex is a leading producer of industrial air coolers, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels supporting customers across fabrication, manufacturing, and field services. We are committed to safety, continuous improvement, and maintaining strong collaboration across all departments.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Air Cooler Bay Designer with a strong background in detail,design and drafting. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to develop detailed designs that meet project specifications, codes, and fabrication requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop layouts for air cooler bay and its components.
Prepare detailed fabrication drawings and design documentation.
Work Independently with minimal supervision.
Review project specifications and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
Collaborate with internal departments including Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and Project Management
Interface with customers and vendors to ensure design intent and scope are clearly understood
Support manufacturing by resolving fabrication-related issues and performing shop walk-downs as required
Follow projects through the full lifecycle from design to fabrication and delivery
Ensure all work aligns with Altex quality standards, procedures, and policies
Assist with Bills of Materials and material planning as required
Participate in continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of experience in air cooler bay design
Proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
Experience with AutoCAD (required).
Strong understanding of mechanical and structural design principles
Experience working with fabrication and manufacturing processes
Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and code
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

Work Environment:

Hybrid work arrangement (office and remote)
Regular interaction in a fabrication shop environment
Occasional site visits may be required
Must be able to work safely in environments with noise, heavy equipment, and typical shop conditions
