We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our electronics manufacturing team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies at various stages of production to ensure they meet specified quality standards. The Quality Control Inspector will review work instructions and technical documentation, perform visual and functional inspections, identify defects and non-conformances, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. The role also involves maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation, and collaborating with production teams to ensure consistent product quality and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Attention to detail
- Acceptable vision in inspection of micro-electronic components
- To read and effectively communicate in English
- Inspect product to verify conformance to workmanship standards and assembly drawings using magnification tools (scope and/or magnifying lamp) for up to 8 hours a day
- Operate AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) Machines for SMT inspection process.
- Provide critical feedback to promote process improvements
- Read and understand process documentation to ensure the methods of verifying product are in alignment with product quality expectation per reference standards (IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001)
- Basic computer skills and learn new software applications to monitor and record non-conformances
- Support team to produce high product quality by providing feedback
- Keep paperwork and workplace organized
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1+ years of electronics’ experience preferred
- Experience with inspection tools and measuring devices preferred
- High diligence
- Must have knowledge and experience in Printed Circuit Board Assembly of SMT and Through Hole Components
- Knowledge of electrical component identification and color codes
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001
- Ability to read and comprehend assembly documentation and drawings
- Ability to navigate in different software applications
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to inspect products through magnification tools for up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and methods
- Willingness to learn new skills to verify product quality
- Ability to document non-conformances on First Article Inspection of product

Job Type: This is an in-person full-time position (40 hours per week) from Monday to Friday at our warehouse in Burnaby, BC
We have two shifts available. 7:00AM-3:30 PM or 3:00PM to 11:15PM. Please specify which shift you would be applying for.
Salary: $39,520 to $43,680 based on experience ($19.00-$21.00 per hour).
