Overview
Located on Austin Ave in Coquitlam, JC Afterschool is a place where we practically help students manage their GPA to get into the universities of their choice. We go beyond just giving lectures; we aim to be a 'pacemaker' for our students—thinking together about what needs to be done based on their current situation and meticulously taking care of their academic progress.

Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Bilingual Educator who can deliver high-level Math/Science instruction in English while providing strategic "Academic Management" (내신관리 & 입시전략) for our students. You will be a mentor who oversees the student's entire academic journey, ensuring they remain competitive for elite university admissions.

Responsibilities

Academic Instruction: Deliver engaging Math/Science lessons (including AP/IB levels) primarily in English.
GPA Management (내신관리): Closely monitor local school curricula, predict exam patterns, and ensure students maintain top-tier grades across all units.
College Entrance Strategy (입시전략): Develop and implement long-term academic roadmaps tailored for UBC, UofT, and etc.
Intensive All-Subject Tutoring (전 과목 밀착 지도): Provide 1:1 or small-group oversight not just for Math/Science, but for the student's overall workload to ensure balanced high performance.
Bilingual Communication: Conduct sophisticated consultations with Korean-speaking parents to report progress and discuss strategic goals.

Qualifications

Bilingual Fluency: Native or professional-level proficiency in both English and Korean is mandatory.
Subject Expertise: Strong background in Math and Science (University degree preferred).
Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with the BC Curriculum and the North American university admission process.
Mindset: A strong sense of responsibility for student results and a mentor-driven approach.

2. 채용 역할 (Role)

영어 수업이 가능하며, 동시에 전략적인 학업 관리(내신 관리 및 입시 전략) 역량을 갖춘 열정적인 이중언어 교육자를 모십니다. 단순히 과목을 가르치는 강사를 넘어, 학생의 전체 학업 여정을 가이드하고 명문대 입시 경쟁력을 극대화해 줄 수 있는 ‘멘토’ 역할을 수행하게 됩니다.

3. 주요 업무 (Responsibilities)

교과 지도: 수학 및 과학 과목을 영어로 강의 (AP/IB 레벨 포함).
내신 관리 (GPA Management): 로컬 학교 커리큘럼을 면밀히 모니터링하고 시험 패턴을 분석하여, 학생들이 전 단원에서 최상위 성적을 유지할 수 있도록 밀착 관리합니다.
입시 전략 (College Entrance Strategy): UBC, UofT 등 북미 주요 명문대 진학을 목표로 하는 학생별 맞춤형 장기 학업 로드맵을 수립하고 실행합니다.
전 과목 밀착 지도 (Intensive Tutoring): 수학/과학뿐만 아니라 학생의 전반적인 학업량과 스케줄을 1:1 또는 소그룹으로 관리하여 균형 잡힌 고성과를 유지하도록 돕습니다.
이중언어 소통: 한국어 사용 학부모님과 전문적인 상담을 진행하며 학습 진도, 성취도 및 향후 전략을 공유합니다.

4. 자격 요건 (Qualifications)

이중언어 필수: 한국어와 영어 모두 원어민 수준 또는 전문적인 업무 수행이 가능한 분.
전공 지식: 수학 또는 과학 관련 전공자 (학사 학위 이상 소지자 우대).
