JOB PURPOSE:

Contribute to the accounting department by undertaking accounts receivable, accounts payable tasks, and providing other general accounting clerk duties to support the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform data entry and documentation preparation for accounts receivable transactions.

Perform data entry and documentation preparation for accounts payable transactions.

Provide general support to the accounting team in the role of an accounting clerk

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare, verify, and process invoices with accurate job cost codes.
Take ownership of accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Ensure transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
Verify accuracy of transactions and data entry.
Contribute to the team workloads and responsibilities of the accounting team

QUALIFICATIONS:

Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent.
Minimum two years’ experience independently performing accounting roles.
Experience with ERP systems, Viewpoint ERP System experience preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information.
Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work through ambiguity.
Analytical and results-driven attitude.
Positive teamwork-oriented approach to daily interactions.
Collaboration and team oriented
