Acute Care Alberta (ACA) is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join the Strategic Value Office in a key enterprise role supporting data-informed decision making and system-level oversight. In this role, you will help shape how information is used to support executive priorities, performance oversight, and system improvement across ACA. Working within a complex and evolving health system, you will ensure that the right questions are being asked, that analytical efforts are focused on what matters most, and that insights are translated into meaningful action. You bring strong critical thinking and the ability to work with complex or ambiguous information, translating it into clear direction and practical recommendations for senior leaders. You are comfortable working at the intersection of strategy, operations, and analytics, helping teams focus effort on high-value work that supports organizational priorities. Working closely with senior leaders, Health Shared Services, ministries, and system partners, you will help align analytics and reporting activities across the system. You will also support the evolution of tools, approaches, and ways of working to ensure ACA continues to strengthen its ability to use data effectively. Description:
Reporting to the Executive Director of the Strategic Value Office, the Analytics Enablement Lead provides strategic leadership to strengthen how information and analytics are used to support decision making across Acute Care Alberta. The role works closely with senior leaders to clarify priorities, identify key questions, and guide structured approaches to analysis and evaluation that support system-level decision making. The position brings together information from multiple sources to inform insights and recommendations, while providing advice on how data can best be used to support planning, performance oversight, and continuous improvement. It works collaboratively with Health Shared Services and other partners to align efforts and ensure analytics and reporting activities are focused on organizational priorities. The Analytics Enablement Lead plays a key role in prioritizing and coordinating analytic work across ACA, ensuring effort is directed toward high-value opportunities. The role promotes consistent and practical approaches to analysis and reporting, identifies emerging issues and opportunities, and supports the effective use of tools and technologies without requiring deep technical execution. The role builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external partners, including ministries, agencies, and service providers. It acts as a connector across teams, supporting alignment and shared understanding of priorities, while providing trusted advice to senior leaders and representing ACA in discussions related to analytics and performance.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field such as health sciences, statistics, data science, health economics, or a related quantitative discipline. Minimum eight years of related experience working with health data, analytics, and reporting in a complex healthcare or public sector environment. Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership audiences. Extensive experience with data integration, analysis, interpretation, and reporting, including the use of analytics platforms and digital health systems. Strong understanding of healthcare systems, including clinical and operational contexts, and the ability to prioritize analytic work based on organizational and system value. Excellent communication, relationship management, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholders and complex environments.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong ability to assess and interpret data from multiple sources while recognizing limitations and ensuring appropriate application to decision making. Demonstrated experience prioritizing competing requests and aligning analytic work with available capacity and organizational priorities. Ability to establish structured and methodologically sound approaches to analysis, reporting, and evaluation across teams and partners. Proven ability to work effectively in complex, dynamic, and politically sensitive environments. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate emerging issues and identify opportunities for improvement. High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality, including knowledge of applicable legislation such as the Health Information Act and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in system-level oversight, performance management, or accountability roles within healthcare or government. Experience working with Health Shared Services, ministries, or provincial agencies. Knowledge of BI and data platforms, including Tableau, Snowflake, and health data systems. Experience supporting adoption of analytics or digital health solutions, with a background in quantitative fields and contributing to policy, frameworks, or performance measurement.
