Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. This role is essential in supporting the company's financial health and providing accurate reports for decision-making. Experience with various accounting software platforms is highly valued, and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles is required to succeed in this position.

Duties

Record and manage financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
Assist with budgeting processes and financial forecasting
Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
Support payroll processing and related documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
Ability to perform account analysis and maintain accurate financial records
Experience with payroll processing is preferred
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic budgeting skills are a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members effectively
