Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support attorneys with a variety of administrative and legal tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, drafting, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in legal software and tools. Prior administrative experience and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread, and review legal documents, correspondence, and filings with high accuracy
Handle clerical duties such as answering phones with professional phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars
Conduct legal research to support case development
Manage case files and documents

Understand Chinese Mandarin
Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal projects
Coordinate meetings with clients, witnesses, or other parties as needed
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts under attorney supervision
Support attorneys in preparing for court appearances or client meetings by organizing relevant materials
Experience
Prior administrative or clerical experience in a legal setting preferred
Excellent attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and filing skills
Strong proofreading and writing skills
Experience with project management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently
Knowledge of Clio and Esilaw is a plus
Ability to demonstrate professional phone etiquette and effective communication skills
Experience conducting interviews or gathering information for case preparation is advantageous

Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
