Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market. We provide trade execution, clearing, custody and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms. What You Will Do
The Appian Developer FCC is accountable for developing and enhancing client facing Appian applications. The following responsibilities are part of this role:
Design, code, test, debug, and document process workflows based on Appian Technology, in accordance with specific business requirements to enhance existing key business platform and to build new product offerings using latest technologies.
Ensures that functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating commercial technology assets to meet the following objectives: robustness, performance, and reliability.
Liaise with internal and external user groups as needed and effectively work in an agile environment.
What We are Looking For
University Degree/College Diploma, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
3-7 years of experience building Enterprise Workflows using the Appian Platform.
Working experience in web development with emphasis on Service-Oriented Architecture
Able to contribute to the Appian practice at Fidelity by sharing methods and best practices
Knowledge of all aspects of Appian product and application methodology Experience with Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, Rules, Expressions, Documents, Knowledge Center, Data Management through Complex Data Types XSDs and SQL queries,
Good understanding of Appian Objects such as Records, Sites, Actions, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, SAIL Interfaces, CDTs, Process Models, Constants, Decisions, Integrations (Web API, Connected Systems etc.), Data Stores, Groups, etc.
Knowledge of SQL and database platforms such as Oracle, MariaDB
Hands on experience with an Agile methodology and the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence)
The following are considered an asset:
Experience with DocuSign and document management platforms
Wealth management, brokerage, or financial services experience
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course
Appian Certification

Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual wage range of $123,000 to $152,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
