Daanaa is a Vancouver-based fabless power electronics and semiconductor company on a mission to revolutionize power electronics in applications operating at and below 1,500 Volts (1.5 kV).

The Company is in early commercialization stages of deep tech power conversion and control technologies, offering innovative solutions to OEMs in multiple industries, including solar energy, electric vehicles, and data centers.

We are growing here at Daanaa and we’re looking to add a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer to join our team to help develop Daanaa’s power electronic products and help bring them to market. As a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer, you’ll be reporting to our Director of Technical Operations. The mission as a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer is to Design, implement and test functional power converters.

What you’ll be doing

Circuit Design and Simulation: You will design, simulate and optimize power electronics & analog mixed signal circuits including component selection for function and reliability.

Firmware Validation: Verify that all firmware integrations meet specified requirements and perform optimally at both the hardware and product levels across power electronic and analog mixed-signal circuits.

Circuit Testing: Design and execute test procedures to validate the performance and quality of power electronics and analog mixed-signal circuits.

Technical Documentation: Provide complete documentation for the design, testing, and validation of all power electronics and analog mixed-signal circuit components.

You should apply if…

You have a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplines.
You understand the intricacies of interactions between the hardware team and other departments, determining the requirements for each relationship, and effectively develop and implement ways to scale these relationships.
You have 10+ years of experience of PCB layout, analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, thermal analysis, signal integrity and EMC/EMI.
You appreciate that firmware and hardware create a cohesive system and have in depth understanding of the interaction between firmware and hardware.
You bring to the table 5+ years of experience in designing, testing, verifying and validating power electronics, battery management systems and microcontrollers. The idea of building new innovative products excite you and you enjoy rolling up your sleeve’s and bringing your designs to life.
You have an understanding of how magnetics interact in power electronic products and how magnetic components play a primary role within the products we create here at Daanaa.
You have experiencing managing a budget and can adequately predict and project what financial necessities are needed to carry out a specific project.

Compensation and Benefits Package

Daanaa’s compensation package is based on a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance.

The typical salary range for this position is from $100,000 – $120,000 annually. This may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
