Sales Executive Cloud and DevOps Consulting Services

An award-winning North American Microsoft partner specializing in cloud and DevOps consulting is building out its U.S. commercial team and hiring a foundational Sales Executive to own a direct-sales quota across New York and the broader Northeast. If you have searched for roles like technology consulting sales executive, professional services account executive, cloud solutions sales representative, or DevOps services business development manager, this seat is for you.

This is a high-autonomy, founder-adjacent role reporting directly to the President. You will build a territory from near-zero, run executive-level discovery, personally author and present outcome-based proposals end to end, and develop Microsoft co-sell relationships to source and advance pipeline. It is a builder's seat, not an order-taker's chair: there is no inherited book, no proposal team, and no fixed playbook to follow. You create the playbook.

Responsibilities:

Carry and deliver a direct-sales quota for cloud and DevOps consulting services across the Northeast U.S. territory, generating new-logo and expansion revenue.
Run executive and C-suite discovery on customers' cloud and DevOps objectives, then personally author and present tailored, outcome-based proposals through to signature.
Build and maintain Microsoft co-sell relationships with field sellers and the partner team, and convert them into qualified, progressed pipeline.
Own retention and expansion in existing accounts against defined renewal and upsell targets.
Stand up the repeatable sales engine: pipeline hygiene, qualification, proposal process and playbooks where little exists today.
Feed market intelligence into demand generation and contribute to business planning, pricing and the evolving AI-first modernization portfolio as a founding commercial voice.

Requirements:

6+ years of quota-carrying sales in technology consulting or professional services (not pre-sales/SE-only, SDR/BDR, or account-management-only tenure).
Proven ability to lead senior and C-suite discovery on cloud strategy, adoption and DevOps transformation through complex, multi-month consultative cycles.
Hands-on, end-to-end proposal authorship: you personally conceive, write and present customer proposals with no reliance on a proposal/bid team or pre-built templates (writing or proposal sample expected).
Experience building technology partner/channel relationships and co-selling with platform-vendor field teams; direct Microsoft co-sell strongly preferred.
Demonstrated net-new hunting: building a territory from near-zero, not only managing an inherited pipeline.
Professional, near-native business English (written and spoken), and based in the U.S. Northeast with willingness to travel to customer sites at least ~10% of working time.

Key skills: technology consulting sales, professional services sales, cloud sales, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Microsoft co-sell, proposal writing, net-new business development, C-suite selling, quota attainment, pipeline management, territory development.

Nice to have: cloud, Azure and/or DevOps consulting engagement experience; Microsoft Partner Center and marketplace familiarity; greenfield territory build experience; AI-first modernization exposure; French (the firm also serves Canadian customers, not required here).

What we offer:

Compensation: base salary plus variable (commission). The brief did not publish a fixed band; base/variable split, target OTE and any ramp guarantee are reviewed openly on the first call once experience and expectations are clear.
Work format: fully remote, home-office based within the New York and Northeast U.S. territory, with ~10%+ travel to customer sites.
A founding commercial seat with direct access to the President and real influence over go-to-market strategy.
