Financial Analyst

Edmonton, AB (Onsite)
Full-Time | Permanent
Reports to: Controller

About the Role

Hands-on Financial Analyst role supporting accounting, reporting, and audits
Work closely with the Controller in a lean, collaborative team
Strong focus on ERP systems, financial reporting, and compliance

Key Responsibilities

Full-cycle accounting:
Journal entries
Account reconciliations
Month-end & year-end close
Prepare financial statements (IFRS / GAAP)
Support external audits and ensure compliance
Work with ERP systems for reporting and data accuracy
Perform budget vs actual analysis and variance explanations
Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes

Must-Have Requirements

CPA in progress (Canada) or recently completed
Strong ERP system experience (hands-on)
Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) / GAAP
QuickBooks experience
3+ years of experience in accounting/financial reporting
Experience with audits and financial compliance

Nice to Have

ERP implementation or migration experience
Telecom or project-based industry experience

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $40/hr.
