Sounds great, but what does a typical day look like as a Civil Engineering Technician with us?

Perform quality control inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and construction tolerances;
Conduct and process 3D laser scans using FARO technology to accurately capture site conditions and as-built structures;
Analyze and compare scan data against design models, shop drawings, and project requirements;
Manage and integrate point cloud data to support project coordination, quality verification, and issue resolution;
Utilize specialized software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms for data interpretation and reporting;
Prepare, communicate, and present technical reports to project stakeholders, clearly explaining findings and recommending corrective actions when required;
Visualize and assess structural elements in 3D to identify potential issues and optimize construction solutions;
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, superintendents, and field crews to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe execution of work;
Provide technical support during project planning, coordination, and shop drawing reviews;
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of best practices across the organization.

What you'll need:

College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Architecture Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience;
Experience in construction quality control, dimensional verification, surveying, or a related field;
Proficiency with Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Revit;
Experience with FARO laser scanning technology and point cloud processing (an asset);
Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications;
Strong spatial awareness and 3D visualization skills;
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills;
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities;
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced

C'est bien beau tout ça, mais une journée de travail en tant que technicien(ne) en génie civil avec nous, c'est quoi?

Effectuer des inspections et des vérifications de contrôle qualité afin d'assurer la conformité des travaux aux plans, devis et exigences contractuelles;
Réaliser et traiter des relevés 3D à l'aide de la technologie FARO Scan afin de documenter avec précision les ouvrages construits;
Analyser et comparer les données numérisées aux plans, modèles et tolérances de construction;
Intégrer et exploiter les nuages de points pour faciliter la validation des travaux, la coordination et la résolution de problématiques techniques;
Utiliser les logiciels spécialisés (Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit et plateformes BIM) pour l'analyse, la vérification et la production de rapports;
Rédiger, transmettre et présenter des rapports techniques aux parties concernées en expliquant clairement les analyses effectuées et en recommandant, au besoin, les correctifs requis;
Conceptualiser et visualiser en 3D les éléments de structure afin d'anticiper les défis et d'optimiser les solutions de chantier;
Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes de projet, les ingénieurs et les équipes de coffrage pour assurer une exécution rapide, précise et sécuritaire;
Apporter un soutien technique lors de la planification, de la coordination et de l'interprétation des dessins d'atelier;
Contribuer à l'amélioration continue des méthodes de travail et au partage des bonnes pratiques au sein de l'équipe.

Ce dont tu auras besoin :

Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) en génie civil, technologie de l'architecture, technologie de la construction ou expérience équivalente;
Expérience en contrôle qualité, en inspection de chantier, en arpentage ou dans un domaine connexe;
Connaissance des logiciels Autodesk (AutoCAD et Revit);
Expérience avec la technologie de scans FARO et le traitement de nuages de points (un atout);
Excellente capacité de lecture et d'interprétation de plans et devis techniques;
Bonne vision spatiale et capacité à conceptualiser en 3D;
Rigueur, rapidité d'exécution et souci du détail;
Excellentes aptitudes de communication et de résolution de problèmes;
Capacité à travailler de façon autonome et en équipe dans un environnement de chantier dynamique.
